Tridel launches new TRIO at Atria with successful Grand Opening

TRIO at Atria from Tridel had its grand opening over the Family Day long weekend and the word is that it was a great success with “phenomenal” turnout. No surprise there, given the convenient location of the new condominium community—Sheppard Avenue just east of highway 404 and Fairview Mall, right on the new Sheppard LRT line—and given the value buyers will enjoy: one-bedroom suites start in the mid-$200s, including parking.

TRIO, a 23-story tower designed by Turner Fleischer architects, is the latest addition to an existing community that includes the 43-story ALTO and 8-story Parkside, both of which are currently under construction. Designed and built as a master-planned community by Tridel, Toronto’s pre-eminent condominium developer, Atria includes parkland, open green spaces, private roundabout automobile entries to the buildings, accessed from a tree-lined street, and retail space on ground floors. A fourth building is planned to complete the community, creating together a “modern urban vision” that combines convenience and an affordable lifestyle.

Tridel’s famous amenities are here as well, with a concierge-staffed lobby, described as “opulent,” an expansive party room with fireplace, bright, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, swimming pool, and rooftop terrace with dining area, bbq pit and fireplace lounge.

TRIO and all of the Atria community is an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly condominium community, a candidate for LEED certification—Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design— the highest standard for rating the performance of “green” buildings in North America. Each suite has environmentally preferable building materials, including low volatility organic compound paint and carpeting, energy-efficient windows, and hardwood flooring from certified environmentally responsible forest products manufacturers.

Features and finishes at TRIO, whose interiors are by Hefele Makowa Design Associates, include plank laminate flooring, granite kitchen countertops, Energy Star high-efiiciency dishwasher with stainless steel finish, built-in stainless steel oven, exhaust hood and cook top, stacked front-loading dryer and Energy Star front-loading washer, and central water filtration system for the building.
